Have we ever told you about the first time we met Pepper? It was dark and colder than expected, the street in front was full of cars so we met you down a side road, and we got help from the home they parked in front of. You sure didn't like that, but who can blame a girl for being cautious. We loved you from then on even though you returned from foster placements. You are so smart and so full of puppy energy, maybe you just liked it better here. Doggy Daycare, learning new things, and running around were your favorite. Lots of other puppies came and went and you played with them all. You learned to mimic the service dogs here and we assumed that's all it was until you began alerting when they weren't around. We knew then that scent training was your specialty. You are so mellow now that our only concern was why it was taking you so long to find your own home. We know why now. You were waiting for this family, yes, this family. They have another dog, children, chickens, and a big yard for those zoomies you love. Thank you for letting us be a part of your journey Pepper.

We work so hard to find people to foster since we do not have an intake facility that sometimes we have no luck, but you came in during a storm system and went into a foster home quickly. You were such a tiny little bundle. You started out with the name Lily and did fine with both your foster moms, but at the third one, you would only listen if millie molly moo was said so they went with it. Thus the Two. 😉 You sure are an active girl who loves running and playing. You are very social even if you are still learning dog socialization skills along the way. Your family is so go with the flow that we are so happy they loved you even before you arrived at their home. You are doing well with your kitty sibling, your human sibling, and learning your new routine. Be well little Millie and have fun! 💕
